Editor's review
An editor for MPEG2 encoded video.
Able MPEG2 Editor lets you remove parts from MPEG2 video clips easily. There is no need for decoding or re-encoding of the video clip. There is a preview player included and it helps you decide which parts you do not need. Using the included video player, you can easily remove any unwanted parts (TV Ads and so on) from MPEG2 (DVD) video files in minutes. You can preview the MPEG2 file, set ranges (start and end points) and cut to the good parts. You then simply remove these parts. To get started, you simply drag and drop the files into the work area. Very large files can be handled, up to 4 GB in sizes. Thus, you would be able to go through even a complete movie and edit out the irritating pieces.
The tool will support MPG, TS and VOB files. The edit operation is quick as you do not need to decode the video files or then recode them. The interface is simple. The controls are intuitive and no user need to be actually trained on any aspect of the tool. They can simply start to use it. Audio is supported too. There is no quality loss due to the edits. This is a tool that works on Windows platform and could prove to be a very useful tool to people working with MPEG2 videos on a daily basis. Start and stop points on the video where edits are to be applied can be precisely determined. As new versions are released, registered/licensed users will receive them free. This is a good tool.
